How to Follow the Latest Advances in AI and Robot

How to follow the latest advances in AI and Robot area? My first attempt is to find the big names such as MIT, Sandiford’s seminars on these topics.

It’s disappointing!

You will find hours being wasted but learned nothing but some fancy slide they borrow each other to advocate something that’s the reason I am turning to you, that the world is changing rapidly due to AI and robot, our lives could be transformed, but what do they tell is mostly empty and lack substance.

On the contrary, some individual youtubers actually provide short clips but full of substance and solid stuff to learn from. For example, “Prompt Engineer” quickly launched a video talking about how he utilized his prompting skills to mimic chatGPT -O1 Preview that can solve complex math, physics, coding, puzzle word, etc. tasks by using chatGPT-O only. It’s detailed in my previous blog on prompting.

As a more drastic contrast, the genius guy Zhihui on his YouTube posted a video detailing how he made a robot arm. There are steps from design, how he finds parts manufacturers, how he writes ROS, referenced textbooks, to his codes on UI and mechanical action codes, all included in his 16-minute video and attached materials. It sure is impressive and also allows the viewer to truly learn a great deal from him!
